WHAT TO EXPECT:
|
Made to Order: Good things take time and our jerky is crafted artisanally! Please keep in mind that we're still a growing business with a small team and limited resources. While we're doing everything we can, delays are sometimes unavoidable as we navigate the challenges of our growth. |
|
Limited Quantities: Because every batch of our jerky is crafted entirely by hand from start to finish, quantities are always limited. We keep our website updated in real time to reflect current inventory. |
|
Ideal Delivery Time: We’re at the facility almost every day cooking up that jerky, but let’s be real— it disappears faster than we can make it! The addiction is strong, and we're just trying to keep the supply flowing. Please allow us about a week or two for us to ship your order. Thanks for hanging in there with us! |
|
Notes: What we offer is one-of-a-kind, and we make it a priority to keep our prices fair for you. That said; prices may fluctuate due to ingredient costs, particularly beef, and we have to adjust accordingly. Our growth is a bit slower at the moment as we reinvest in the business, but we’re working hard to find the right balance. |
Frequently Asked Questions
-
What kind of meat do you use?
Our commitment to quality begins with the selection of meat. We take pride in using only the finest ingredients, which is why we exclusively employ USDA Prime grade brisket.USDA Prime grade meat is celebrated for its extensive marbling, ensuring a tenderness and flavor that is unmatched in the jerky market. This quality is significant considering that only 2-5% of beef sold in the food service industry meets the Prime grade standard. By choosing USDA Prime, we guarantee that every bite of our jerky delivers a rich, savory taste that stands out from the rest.
-
How long does your jerky last?
Our jerky lasts for an impressive 12 months when stored properly away from heat sources and direct sunlight, according to rigorous testing conducted in a certified lab. Once you open a bag, we recommend consuming the jerky within a week to enjoy the optimal taste and texture, although it may still remain good for a bit longer. For your convenience, each bag is clearly labeled with a 'Best Before' date to provide you with a handy reference for freshness.
-
Why is my order taking so long to ship?
At MMMJerky, we prioritize quality over quantity, which is why we can’t keep inventory on hand—our jerky is spoken for before it’s even finished. Unlike mass-produced jerky, ours is made to order, handcrafted with care, and held to the highest standards for a truly exceptional experience. While this approach may result in longer wait times, we believe it's well worth it. As a small local business, we value each order deeply, treating every batch as if it were our own to ensure we deliver only the best.
-
Why is there fat on the jerky?
It’s really a personal preference, just like how some people like the traditional American fatty bacon and others prefer Canadian bacon or even turkey bacon. Our artisan jerky is unique, it stands apart from the rest, and sometimes it’s not for everybody. It's thin, crispy, and boasts a secret ingredient - fat! Our fat delivers a remarkable melt-in-your-mouth experience, perfectly complementing the explosive bursts of umami flavor that will have your taste buds dancing with delight; or not (if it’s not your thing).
-
How much is shipping?
We offer free FedEx standard shipping on most U.S. orders over $55 (auto applied at checkout). For orders under that amount, a flat $5 fee will apply. Packages are typically picked up by carriers Monday through Friday, so orders completed over the weekend or on holidays will be processed the next business day.
-
Can I customize my order?
The answer is a simple YES! Please reach out to us with specific details of your request, whether it's for custom labels for party favors or a unique batch of jerky. We'll do our utmost to cater to your requirements. However, kindly note that everything we create is handmade in batches. So, if you're interested in customizing a flavor to your preference, it will be produced using an entire slab of brisket. This means you'll be purchasing the entire batch.
-
What are your hours? Can I purchase or pick up in person?
We are open by appointment only. To visit or pick up your order, please email us to set a date and time. We do not have inventory on-site but will try to meet your request with notice. We aim to have regular hours soon, so check for updates. Thank you for your patience.
Just a reminder, we make every effort to prioritize and accommodate our local community! -
Is there a phone number I can call?
Unfortunately, we don’t have a landline at the facility. We're living in a digital age, and at MMMJerky, desk phones are a thing of the past. When we’re not responding to emails, packing orders, or catching up on sleep, we’re focused on making some bomb ass jerky for y’all.
As some of you may know, the MMMJerky founders are night owls, so what might be a good time for you may not be ideal for us to answer calls. That said, nothing is urgent enough that a message on Instagram or email won’t do the job just as well! -
What happened to the 16oz bags?
UPDATE (March 2025): After thoughtful consideration, we've decided to permanently discontinue the 16oz size due to ongoing quality control. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news :(
___
Like many people, I tend to buy the larger bag because it feels like a better deal, but then I end up savoring it slowly, and before long, the jerky goes stale. The result? You're not enjoying it the way we intended. The bigger issue is this: if you store a large bag for too long, it risks losing its freshness. Once opened, it needs to be consumed quickly to stay at its best quality.
This decision wasn’t about money—it was about making sure you enjoy the jerky exactly how we meant it: crispy, with the fat melting in your mouth. We don’t want anyone settling for stale jerky just to save a few bucks. Unless you’re like Lena’s cousin, who oddly enjoys it that way, it’s just not the same. -
But I heard about a waitlist/queue system?
We’re so sorry :’(
The unicorn waitlist/queuing system ended up being more challenging than we anticipated. As a small, locally-run business with limited staff, our daily production capacity is restricted. To streamline our process and improve efficiency, we've decided to move away from the waitlist and switch to a drop/release/restock system for now.
